Puerto Vallarta Fishing with PV Sportfishing #revivepuertovallarta My boyfriend and I chartered a 28ft panga for a 10-hr fishing excursion. I had emailed Damon... through their website, he was informative and had very quick response. When we arrived in Puerto Vallarta I reached out to confirm our upcoming fishing day. The morning of, we met at the marina at 6am and was immediately greeted at the dock. Our crew was Captain Luis and Chicken Little aka Pollo. They were absolutely pleasant to spend the day with, and definitely did their best to try to come across some good fish for us. Unfortunately the big guys sail fish/marlins/blue fin didn’t want to come out and play that day... (in their defense, other boats were reporting similar results that day....) BUT! We enjoyed spending the day out on the water, saw cool boils of fish being swarmed by dolphins from below and frigatebirds/pelicans from above. Also saw some sea turtles catching some sun on the surface. They provided sandwiches and water for lunch, but we didn’t know this in advance so ended up bringing our own food/drinks. They have a big cooler so you can bring anything extra you want to consume. Captain Luis and Pollo were determined to not let us leave empty handed... on our way back towards the marina we trolled some more closer to shore and BOOM! Out of nowhere a green torpedo came zooming by and we snagged a beautiful Dorado! *Fist pump* After a few successful day photos, Pollo cut up the fish and made an AH-MA-ZING ceviche for us to enjoy with some tostadas. YUM!! Can’t think of a better way to spend the ride back to the marina. Thanks for a great experience, Damon, Captain Luis, and Pollo! Bummed we didn’t come across any of the the big fish, but hey, that’s the nature of the sport... that’s why they call it fishing, not catching! Maybe next time!
