The kestrel chicks are thriving despite a very shaky start I hope you enjoy this look back at their extraordinary story
This spill may very well be one of the worst environmental disasters in decades.
Last day of a much loved legend. Scarface was one of the world's most famous lions and certainly one of the oldest that we have known during our 50 years of ope...ration in the Masai Mara. He must hold the record for siring the most number of cubs who will carry on his legacy. He died today peacefully and with dignity and we thank the Mara Predator Conservation Programme for providing company in his final hours and also for all the great work they do for lion conservation in Kenya. The first image is of the iconic king in his younger and healthier days by Moses Manduku, one of the Governors' guides and the other two images were taken just yesterday, also by Moses. We will be sharing his tribute on our blog www.discoverafricablog.com. If you have a photo and a memory of Scarface, please share it below. Shared from Governors Camp Collection
"The fur industry causes the deaths of hundreds of millions of animals worldwide, and inflicts indescribable cruelty and suffering... Animal fur coats cannot cover the brutal murder industry that makes them." ~ Israeli environment minister Gila Gamliel
