Three years ago we participated with this project. Now result have come up... It is time to start thinking twice about how we use plastic. This plastic is been eaten by fishes we eat, Every thing we do comes back!!! Think & wakeup!

It’s has been many, many to much time since news have sailed the internet to whisper about Rusalka’s family, time has come to break the silence... Two years ago we arrived to Mexico, to Acapulco’s Yacht Club. We sailed from Jacare, next to João Pessoa in Brazil, the northern part of Brazil, French Guiana, Suriname, Tobago, Colombia, Panama, Panama Canal, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Rusalka since then has been on the hard at the Acapulco Yacht Club boatyard. Major refit had to be ...done, we had to take off the teak to patch the deck made of steel. So welding has been going for a year and a half, now we are cleaning the rust and preparing the steel to paint the deck. After we need to paint the lower part of the deck, isolate, we want to have a heater on board, paint the bottom, and do a big maintenance on the engine, generator, and refrigeration system, plus all what will come on the way!!! Last January Danel was born, bringing a lot of happiness. Daniela worked very hard to open a kindergarten and a primary school last September, in Zitacuaro, Michoacan (city were we live now), (El Oyamel Comunidad Educativa) the school opened the year with 13 children, today there are 22. Uma, Pali and Tiara are going to the new school, and have lots of friend. Music, arts, nature and acrobatics still are big part of their education. I have been working hard at my parents hotel. (Rancho San Cayetano) Where each year we receive the Monarch Butterfly. 2019 will be a year of work to have Rusalka floating on her fins again, lots of enthusiasms and adventure is expected. We wish every body, on every corned of the world, an amazing 2019, full of health and time to share a smile with friends. Big hugs, Rusalka Family.

Dos años y medio después, abriendo el correo que recibimos mientas estábamos en alta mar, apareció un paquete de Uruguay, el libro de Carolina Vidal, Diatomeas, el cual se gestó en Rusalka of the Seas en la travesía de Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a La Paloma, Uruguay, en diciembre del 2013. Felicidades Carolina por el logro, es un gusto saber que la semilla que se sembró, Germinó!!!
