Mexican Jimadores, the people who harvest agave for Tequila production, work long days under the harsh sun. Agave is harvested the same way for centuries. The work is almost entirely manual and the Jimadores use the same razor-sharp tool, the coa, their ancestors relied on. The leaves of the agave plant need to be cut with delicate precision, a skill that not only requires physical endurance but also years of practice. The knowledge of the Jimador is traditionally passed down... from father to son and is rooted in the people"s connection to their land. _____________________ Die mexikanischen Jimadores, die Agaven für die Tequila-Produktion ernten, arbeiten lange Tage unter der grellen Sonne. Das Handwerk der Agavenernte ist seit Jahrhunderten das gleiche. Die Arbeit wird immernoch fast ausschließlich von Hand erledigt und die Jimadores verwenden dabei das gleiche rasiermesserscharfe Werkzeug, die Coa, auf das sich bereits ihre Vorfahren verlassen haben. Die Blätter der Agavenpflanze müssen mit feinster Präzision geschnitten werden, eine Technik, die nicht nur körperliche Ausdauer, sondern auch jahrelange Übung erfordert. Das Wissen der Jimadores wird traditionell vom Vater an den Sohn weitergegeben und ist fest verankert in der Verbundenheit der Menschen mit ihrem Land.

#pridemonth Throwback to an amazing project we were proud to be part of. The 2019 worldwide @uber campaign for #pridemonth honoured the LGBTQ+ communities in cities all around the world. The mission behind the campaign was to advocate globally for allyship, inclusion and diversity an empower individuals to be their most authentic selves every day. ________________ #pridemonth Throwback zu einem großartigen Projekt, bei dem wir nach wie vor sehr stolz sind, ein Teil davon gewesen zu sein. Mit der weltweiten @uber Kampagne für #pridemonth wurden 2019 die LGBTQ+ Communities in Städten auf der ganzen Welt gewürdigt. Die Botschaft hinter der Kampagne war, sich weltweit für Allyship, Inclusion und Diversity einzusetzen und jede Person darin zu bestärken, jeden Tag ihr authentischstes Selbst zu sein.

Tucked away in the mountains of the Peruvian Andes is Patabamba, a small traditional village of indigenous weavers. The women of the community practice traditional weaving by hand, an expertise that has been passed down from mother to daughter for generations. The weavers are famous for their colourful lliklla (blankets) with characteristic embroidery. We had the chance to visit the Patabamba women in their village during one of our productions for the TV format JobSwap. __..._____________ Versteckt in den Bergen der peruanischen Anden liegt Patabamba, ein kleines traditionelles Weberdorf. Die Frauen der Gemeinde weben auf traditionelle Art von Hand, eine Technik, die seit Generationen von Mutter zu Tochter weitergegeben wird. Die Weberfrauen sind berühmt für ihre farbenfrohen Lliklla (Decken) mit charakteristischer Stickerei. Im Rahmen einer unserer Produktionen für das TV-Format JobSwap hatten wir die Gelegenheit, die Patabamba Frauen in ihrem Dorf zu besuchen. See more
