Noise in Mexico I’m often asked about noise levels by clients considering buying a house. Here’s what I tell them. If you’re not in a gated community with HOA n...oise regulations you may have a neighbor with lots of barking dogs or if there’s an empty lot next door or across the street, that lot might turn into a bar or event center or other noisy neighbor. However, even in the gated communities within a mile of a village church, you’ll still hear the cohetes/fireworks. Also, even if you’re over a mile from a village church, you may have neighbors with loud parties all night long. The law says they’re supposed to be quiet after 11 pm but the law is often not enforced. The point is that Mexico is a loud country so if you don’t like that, don’t move to Mexico. I’d love to hear the opinions of others on this.
