Este año 2020 el tema es, Forjando la paz juntos, y difundiendo compasión, amabilidad y esperanza frente a la pandemia. La ONU nos invita a luchar contra los intentos de usar el virus para promover la discriminación o el odio y para que podamos forjar la paz juntos

7thB Virtual Tour In English class on Wednesday, September 23rd, 7th grade B students took a virtual tour of Ripley’s Aquarium in Canada and dove into their most biodiverse exhibit, Rainbow Reef. They observed more than 1000 tropical fish get lunch, learned about them and the coral reefs they inhabit. This tour was taken through the platform Exploring by the seat of your pants. Students saw all the different types of tropical fish from the exhibit and asked the fishkeepers questions. Everybody in class thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium! El día de ayer, en conmemoración al Día Internacional de la Paz, los niños y niñas del Preescolar reflexionaron sobre diferentes valores, como son la tolerancia, el respeto y la solidaridad. Fomentar la asimilación de estos valores ayudará a los niños a crear un mundo de paz y armonía.

Today as we celebrate International Day of Peace, our 9th graders made signs conveying their thoughts and phrases concerning peace and displayed them in public areas. Their goal is to spread words of hope, kindness and compassion to everybody. The video and music were done by the 9th grade students themselves, who worked together in the hope their message would reach more people worldwide. 8th Virtual Tour In English class on Monday, September 28th, 8th graders went on a virtual tour with the explorer and biologist Stewart McPherson, who is part of the Darwin 200 Mission. He talked about his previous voyage, plus his plans to continue with the expedition which sets sail in 2021. Students also watched a video message from Jane Goodall in which she encourages all teenagers to continually be curious and investigate. This tour was taken through the platform Exploring by the seat of your pants. Everybody in class liked learning about this new phase of this expedition! 7thA Virtual Tour On Tuesday, September 22nd, 7th grade students had a video conference with Dereck and Beverly, National Geographic explorers. Their mission has been the preservation of wild animals, specifically, large predators. In this virtual tour that was taken through the platform Exploring by the seat of your pants, students went to Botswana, Africa. After Dereck and Beverly’s explanation about their work, students were able to ask the couple questions. Students were amazed while watching and learning more about these wild animals..
