About Magdalena and why are we involved. She was chosen by her father to be the unmarried care taker of her parents. But Magda had dreams and if nothing else she at least wanted to be a mom. She always cared for all her brother’s and sister’s children. So one day, after 8 month of hidden pregnancy she told her family that she was to be a mother. Her father would have cast her away if her brothers had not stood strong and faced the patriarchy. They took the responsibly to care for her and her baby no matter what. This is also when we stepped forward and told her she would have a job with us and friends always. There she is in our kitchen with one if us.
