We are so proud of Arely. She will be graduating from college in a few weeks. She will spend a year working at the general hospital and then she be a licensed nutritionist.

We received new dirt today. Nanas House is really looking great. Pray for us.

Work continues at the girls home. Everyday we are getting closer to moving in!

Statistics say that 3.6 million children in Mexico (under the age of 18) work, and of those, 41.5 percent do not attend school. A few months ago we took in three girls. Their mother passed away and her dying wish was for the girls to live in Nana’s House. This single mom raised her girls on what she made each day and she made sure her girls got a good education. A good education is the answer to a better future but a lot of kids never go to school because the economic need ...in their family is overwhelming. They work to eat every day and are stuck in a harmful cycle of poverty. Nana’s House has seen great success in breaking this cycle. We are just finishing the school year and our teachers have successfully helped several teens get caught up and on grade level. We would like to expand and help children who are stuck working but want to get an education. We will be starting a sponsorship program for children in need of a just little extra help that will allow them to stay with their families and go to school
