Greetings! I have started a community fundraising project for my helper and friend here in Mexico. After two years of knowing her she never really told me the extend of her poor and unhealthy living conditions. Until this rainy season when rain was pouring in the walls and flooding the floor or part of the wall blew off. Or when she would arrive on cleaning day with scorpion bites. Then she was sick probably from dengue which is common this time of year She lives with her da...ughter and 8 month old granddaughter who she supports also. I was shocked to see pictures of the house or what I call a shack. Rosa has been very helpful, loyal, dependable and a hard worker. Her dream is to have her own home. There is still little work and no government help. I have helped by giving her food or some extra money when I can. A friend of mine heard about Rosa's situation and generously gave her an amazing cash donation. Which she now has put a deposit on a small piece of land and bought the bricks to build. She is overjoyed and very grateful! Though that is as far as it can go. So here is where I hope those who have it to give and feel it in their heart to make any size donation to help the completion of the house as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your help! Unfortunately, once again Rosa was bitten by a scorpion in her home and had to go to the hospital. I know what it feels like, once was enough for me. This is e...ven more part of life with a place open to the elements. The fundraising campaign has only 28 days left and is not really moving like I had hoped. I understand many are in difficult situations also at this time. We would appreciate sharing the link if you can not donate anything. As I have previously shared the blocks arrived and excavating has begun. Some other materials have been purchased but the next main item is the cement. Hopefully that can happen soon!
