Thanks Mike for sharing your beautiful story! "Hola! My name is Mike Coar and this is the story behind the buoy. We have been coming to Mezcalito´s for over 20 years. The first time I took a picture of the buoy my daughter Maddie was an infant and I had to hold her up next to the buoy to get a picture. We have come here every year since and always taken the same photo with her standing and holding it in the most recent one. She is now 20 year old college student studying in J...apan. When I arrived this year I noticed it was missing. The buoy had survived Wilma so I could not believe it was gone! I spoke to my friend Flavio and he told me they were going to repaint it. Negotiations immediately commenced and the manager agreed to let me have it if I would just replace it with a new one. Deal!!! Thanks to everyone at Mezcalito´s for making this happen!
