The new design for our reclaimed alloy wheel rim snares is successfully prototyped. Using cut out sections of old birch ply shells and some reclaimed oak, a wh...eel can become a 14" snare drum with no drilling required, just like a free floating shell. It's even able to be used as a wheel on a car again. Amazing tone, great, unique response, immense fun to play. Hats off to @jon_serenity for pursuing this, and for the playing in the video.
