Meet Poly Our featured pet this week is Poly, a medium-sized, two-year-old, mother of NINE puppies who was rescued from the streets of Colonia Urias. Her owner, who obviously failed to sterilize his pet, got very angry after Poly delivered her pups and threw her and the nine puppies out onto the street. Meet Dala Our featured pet this week is Dala a medium sized, white, female, pit bull-mix with black splotches on her coat. She is approximately 2 years old. Dala was rescued by a local family in Colonia Puerta del Sol. She was wandering the streets hungry and thirsty without any apparent home. Meet Maya Our featured pet this week is Maya. This pretty, medium-sized, female, black lab-mix doggy is about a year old. She was abandoned at the front door of the shelter along with her four puppies that were all tucked inside a cardboard box. Thankfully Maya and her puppies were in good physical condition. Meet Becky This week our featured pet is Becky. She is a pretty, medium-sized, female, chocolate brown pup of mixed heritage about 4 months old. Becky has a sad back story. Her owner died and this man’s family did not want to take Becky so they left her alone in the house in Lomas where she lived with her beloved (now deceased) owner. Meet Acertijo This week our featured pet is Acertijo, which translates to Riddle. This handsome pup is a small, white, male, poodle mix. He is about a year and a half old. Acertijo was abandoned tied to the window frame outside the shelter door. We know nothing about his background. He was not well cared for before his arrival.
