Since I discovered Tiger Bea...ch in early 2000, 74 SLR professional cameras have been taken from my guests and myself! I don't actually keep track of how many of the much smaller gopro type cameras have been taken. My opinion of what is really happening is that these tiger sharks are just playing. Usually after taking it, several of the Tiger Sharks drop it and grab it again repeatedly! The electrical stimulus of these cameras probably attracts the sharks to the cameras and there just curious as to what it actually is. Of the 74 cameras taken we have recovered 72 of them. If you’re planning on joining me on a shark dive, definitely have the camera insured as well as make it heavy so they don't keep it as long!
