Just finished CRAZY ON YOU Featuring MarcyElle. It was super fun to work on this great song. I loved rocking out on the guitar riff. Fun! Anyways, crank it up and rock out! Oh and yes, this a cover of the great song written by Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart. And yes, of course, no one can ever best what Ann and Nancy did. Their song is super iconic! Epic! So there is NO attempt. SO DISAPPOINTING! This morning received an email from a racist reader of my article THE FORGOTTEN MAN saying; "Hey dude, spare us the black crap masked as music. The man in question couldn’t compare to one of Frank Sinatra’s clipped toe nails." My response was; ... "As an Italian American, specifically a Sicilian American born in the same hood as Frank, I am a huge fan of Sinatra. So I have some interesting things to say about your comment. However, in the interest of public discourse, could you kindly go back to the article and post your comment there. Once your comment is posted publically I will be happy to reply so all can read it." I hope he posts his ignorant comment publically because he will get an earful starting with ... "Frank was Sicilian American. As a youth he was called Darkie, Nigger, and more. In the early 20th century, Italians were the dirty immigrant "Irish" of the 1840s or the "dirty" Mexicans of Trump's racist era. Frank was the first one to integrate the Las Vegas strip by refusing to play until they let Sammy Davis Jr., his buddy, into the casino where he was allowed to perform but NOT allowed to hang. Furthermore, Frank was NEVER a rock n roller. While an amazing artist, no one ever has termed his music rock n roll or a precursor. However, The Rolling Stones specifically cite Robert Johnson as a major influence in their journey into Rock N Roll. In fact, everyone who is NOT a racist knows that Elvis was the first successful Rock N Roll King but that he got his chops from hanging out with his African American friends learning the blues. His success was basically a white guy doing an imitation of the African American music he was rockin'. It's the blues, from African Americans where Rock has its roots. Geez us! You are both ignorant and a racist. Fckin Embarrassing! Ewww!" I tell ya this "white grievance" non-sense empowered by Trumpism is so sad. Instead of being led by responsible leaders, they have been misled by profiteers and now just run with it without thought. Because I am a serious student of history and evolution, I know that, in 50 years, this era will be looked down upon as the LAST GASP OF WHITE SUPREMACY. Future generations will judge this era harshly and these lost desperate folks will be put in the history bin of failure, as they should. ANGELIC VOCAL! Had an amazing session with the ethereal angelic JOAN SILENTIO today. Got her in the mix. It's turned RAMSHACKLED into a Sting meets Morrissey meets the Soundtrack to Dune 2021! This was fun today. My neighbors, who are quite persnickety, got the first listen and they really liked it. I am encouraged! Joan said "WOW" after she heard the mix. Betty sneered it at and gave me that face, which in her universe, means it's pretty good! Anyways, just going to add a slight lead guitar to the mix and I think I am done... so stay tuned.

As of March 24th this amazing rocker is still NOT in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Why? Maybe because there was never a cocaine overdose? A scandal? It turns out Pat Benatar was and remains a wonderful human being. No Scandals. She married a man she loves, she is an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. At 68, she does NOT engage in fake looks or plastic surgery to appease the fickle. She's a role model for being a great person. Oh and she will hit you with her best ...shot because she's an amazing 4-octave soprano that has won 4 Grammys with 10 nominations. She's still singing too and playing concerts. In 1979, every high school girl wanted to be Benatar. So many like Sherly Crow cite Benatar as their role model. Yet the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME still has NOT recognized this gal who had the very first rock music video on MTV (You Better Run). Gimme a break! What a disgrace!
