Part 2 of our Tulum & Tankah Tour is exploring the beautiful cenote Tankah! In ancient times Tankah was an important Mayan trading city. A number of small, reasonably priced hotels have cropped up here over the past few years, and several expats who own villas in the area rent them out year-round. Often overlooked by travelers, this spectacular stretch of coastline offers great snorkeling, diving, and best of all, isolation. A cenote that tunnels under the beach road and spills into the sea makes the area even more unique and magical

The 7th World Wonder: an experience that will leave you breathless and in love
This is a wonderful opportunity to admire a natural spectacle that is only visible at the pink lagoon of Xtampu. Here we will learn the process of how ancient Mayans extracted salt from the water. The site is framed by the sighting of flamingos depending on the season. Our experience starts from your accommodation in Merida where a certified guide welcomes you. Our first stop will be El Corchito Natural Reserve , ideal place to freshen up and relax in crystal clear springs. W...hile navigate through estuary channels, admire native birds and endemic fauna of Yucatan. Afterward, we stop for lunch at a beach club in the port of Chicxulub. Along the way, we will take a short tour of the pier and learn about the Chicxulub Crater, the meteor that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs, and many other animals. We return to Merida at 5:00PM

Merida is delightful. Its bustling center boasts colonial churches and mansions as well as Paseo de Montejo; a tree-lined avenue famous for its beautiful French-style residences, built at the turn of the century when the Henequen Industry was at its peak. During this time, Merida was the capital of the wealthiest state in the country, Yucatan. We will pick you up from your hotel in Mérida, or in one of the surrounding metropolitan cities, at 8:00 a.m. Discover Merida´s land...marks and most important points of interest on a panoramic city tour! We will pick you up in one of our luxury Mercedes Benz vehicles and drive from the pickup location you provided to Merida, the white city. Upon arrival, we will take you on a Panoramic City Tour and show you the beautiful city’s landmarks and historical sites. We will then stop at the Gran Museo del Mundo Maya, the perfect place to engage with, and witness, authentic Yucatecan identity. Here you will learn about the Mayan culture and see a wide variety of Mayan artifacts found throughout the years by archaeologists. After the Museo we will make our way to the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltun. Dzibilchaltun was a major Mayan city, which became a villa with an open chapel during colonial times. One of the most important temples at this location is the Temple of the Seven Dolls, where numerous stucco decorations and as seven small sculptures have been found. You will also have the chance to visit the Xlacah Cenote which preserves within its depth of 140 feet several archaeological secrets. You may swim in its crystal-clear waters to cool off before returning to the city.
