We suffer from low blood glucose - but no, most of us are not diabetic. We suffer from high ketones - but no, our blood sugar is not sky-high. At first glance w...e are not visible ill - but if you look closely, you may see gastro tubes and continuous glucose monitors (CGM) We are united - but still diverse in clinical presentation, #symptoms, and severity, united in a patient organization for families affected by idiopathic ketotic hypoglycemia. Experts in Inherited Metabolic Diseases and Pediatric Endocrinology has gathered in our Scientific Advisory Board where they work tirelessly with the patients and families towards an enhanced understanding of this medical mystery. At #RareDiseaseDay last year, we had just launched the patient organization today we are almost 900 families united from across the globe. We are going to celebrate Rare Disease Day 2021 on the 28th of February by hosting the first virtual conference in the organization, where we currently have 350 registrations. Almost 50% of the registrations are healthcare professionals from all over the world. Remember to sign up at www.ketotichypoglycemia.org/conference #KHI2021
