Feliz Cumpleaños Papa Jose! Today he would be 105 years old. 6 Aug 1915, Wilmington, Los Angeles, CA U.S. The second child and 2nd son born to Bonifacio Santoyo y Maria Vicenta Trinidad Garcia, who then returned to Puruandiro, Michoacan in 1923 with all their CA born children. 13 years later, he went on to marry Antonia Pichardo Camacho in 1936. They then had 15 children over the next 30 years while he traveled back and forth between Mexico and the US to work as a farmworker, harvesting crops in California, Oregon, Washington, and throughout the US SouthWest. He passed 7 years ago on 3 Feb 2013 in Rancho Cucamonga, CA at the age of 97.

The opening introduction to the VHS video for Jose y Antonia Santoyo's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration on 12 July 1986 at All Saints Catholic Church in El Sereno, Los Angeles, CA. P.S. VHS tapes are not archival quality... tapes (& video quality) deteriorate rapidly after 10 years. Luckily I was able to salvage/"digitize" this now 34yr old footage almost 2 decades ago, after many of the copies had already detiorated, but before this last copy was lost. Now, in digital format, the quality will not deteriorate further.
