Earthship Hostel, Mexico

Hello friends - good news! We have finally found and bought our dream land! It took us a while to get here, buying land as foreigners in Mexico turned out to be even more tricky than we originally thought. Eight months ago we discovered this amazing place, and after a LOT of paperwork we can now proudly call ourselves the owners. On the western coast of Mexico, just outside a tiny village called Higuera Blanca, amongst green hills and fruity trees, is where you will find us in the near future. It feels great to be one big step closer to fulfilling our dream of building a self-sustainable Earthship Hostel. There is still more planning to be done and the building won't start just yet, but there will be plenty of possibilities to join in along the way. So stay tuned and follow the adventure!

Hiya! After spending a (way too) long time in the cold north, we're finally arriving the green valleys of Nayarit again - excited to get back to work. Heading out to the land in a couple of days, we'll be back with more updates!

It's the end of rainy season here in Nayarit, and after some heavy thunderstorms we were met by muddy, destroyed roads with tiny canyons. We had to leave the car, take of our shoes and cross the river to see what was waiting on our land. Needless to say, after almost two years of free thriving for the plants, everything was completely overgrown. But with a little help from our machetes and volunteering friends, we now see light in the end of the tunnel.
