We encourage you to take t...he first step and involve yourself in science and technology. Maybe you have a hidden talent in one of this areas and you will never find out if you do not give it a try. Gender should not influence the opportunities that are held for women in this area, however there are stereotypes established in our society. These stereotypes should not be an impediment to continue working on what we are passionate about. Once you are in, you acquire new different skills that will help you in many ways. What’s the importance of STEM opportunities for women and other underrepresented groups, and how can you play your part to support that process? Women in this field are very important because they have the opportunity to motivate more women with their success and achievements. Unfortunately, not everywhere have the same opportunities for women as for men, but efforts are being made to change that and achieve equality. Marcelo de Jesús Torres Cofiño, president of the government board of the LXI Legislation, who answered to our call, and had a virtual meeting with us, we discussed about our progress so far in the competition and about our projects and initiatives and how to take them further. And Lic. Gerardo A. Aguado Gómez, Permanent Commission of Sport and Youth Coordinator, who also responded at us and scheduled a virtual meeting to get in detail.
