17 June 2020 Greetings Blue XT Sea tribe! Today we want to address the million dollar questioncan you come to Cozumel and dive yet? We are going to do our best to explain the situation as it stands today in Cozumel. Please understand, though, that things are very fluid and are changing daily. There are state regulations and federal regulations that we are trying to follow and sometimes they conflict with each other. That said, we are starting to make plans to get back in...Continue reading
Boats are good!!! Electricity already being restored - some areas still Out - phone lines intermittent - flood waters subsiding - clean up has begun - I am optimistic that we’ll be back to diving by Friday! Stay tuned for updates as they are available ! Thank you everyone for your support, good vibes, positive energy, prayers, etc.
Blue XT~Sea Dive Tribe, please help us save our reefs and sign the petition. They want to build Lakam Ha - another tourist trap in front of Palancar reef. This project was already rejected twice in 2019 by the islanders but it just recently got approval. To all that love diving here, we need your help! Please sign! http://chng.it/zyjChwXr
Want to know the true medical recommendation for returning to diving after COVID-19 and when it is "safe" to dive whether symptomatic or asymptomatic? Here are the answers from our very own Dr. Dario Gomez at COSTAMED, our medical provider of choice on the island. https://www.facebook.com/CostamedCozumel/videos/260358345026990/
A beautiful afternoon on the dive boat in Cozumel!

Hi Blue XT~Sea tribe - Christi here! EDIT: Now officially a Cat 4 Please keep the people of Cozumel and the Yucatan peninsula in your support and prayers. Like many areas 2020 has been more brutal that just COVID. Riots, fires, and natural disasters seem to be more prevalent this year as well - 2020 is destroying lives on so many levels. By the time Hurricane Delta makes her direct hit on the tiny island of Cozumel late tonight and early Wednesday morning, she will be a C...ategory 4 - for those who haven't been through a hurricane, much less a major one - a Cat 4 is devastating. The island endured both Cat 4 Emily and Cat 5 Wilma in July and October 2005 - they are resilient - but the island and her people are being tested once again no less on hte heels of COVID and 4 months of shut down. Please keep our island and her people in your prayers! See more
Both Shamu and Keiko (formerly Bandida) are out of the water and secured - special thanks to our amazing crew as well as the amazing crew and Adam of ScubaTony for the assistance and working as a team to get boats out and secured. Crews are done working and safe at home with families now!!
Buh bye Delta! After a team breakfast both boats are back in the water and our team is ready to take our divers out this afternoon! We are grateful for everyone’s support and encouragement and that Delta was short lived! Onward to the reefs!

Good morning! I know you’re all anxious to hear how the island made it through the storm. Everyone is safe which is the most important thing. Electricity is out on much of the island, there is widespread flooding, and the sea is still very angry. As of 10:20am, Delta is well on her way out of the Yucatán heading into the Gulf of Mexico but there is still lingering rain and thunderstorms. No severe damage has been noted yet although there is some debris as to be expected. More updates when it is completely over and things are back to normal whatever that looks like in 2020. IEveryone needs rest right now so that the cleanup Can begin when the rain stops. Here are some images courtesy of our own Edwin a/k/a Pato - gracias Edwin!
We are so exited to be out diving with the Clopton family from Tennessee. They are our first divers since March and we are beyond happy to welcome them and to get back in the water!
Happy Father’s Day!
We are pretty sure that Martin and Pedro check quite a few of the boxes here. What is your favorite DM story?
Hey Blue XT~Sea tribe! We just got word that beginning tomorrow July 6 we will be able to operate at 50% - all of the same social distancing and mask wearing COVID protocols will remain in place!
