SCAR TISSUE REMOVAL WITH ACUPUNCTURE From Chinese Medicine point of view scar tissue may cause disruption in blood and energy (Qi) flow in the skin, muscles and underlying meridians. The impeded flow is followed by Qi and blood stasis that can cause pain, accumulations and affect organs that those meridians should be nourishing. Especially significant are scars found on the face; neck, head, back, and abdomen because of the major meridians that traverse them. Not all scars ca...use problems. Many are only superficial, or have healed such that the deeper energy of the body is not affected. Then the acupuncture removal procedure can still be done for cosmetic reasons. Acupuncture naturally and effectively removes the scar tisue from operation, burns, injuries and strechmarks. The scar will never completely go away, but acupuncture considerably reduces its size and changes its appearance. Vitiligo spots may show some visible results after a few sessions as well. HOW IT WORKS: In many cases acupuncture for scar tissue removal requires leaving the needles for 1-2 days or until the patient goes to bed. The needles are inserted around the scar tissue and are covered with an adhesive plaster. The patient is to limit movements in the area of application of needles, to avoid water contact and contact with any other objects as well. In some cases its better to schedule an appointment in the first part of the day, leaving the needles in.
