Los días 6 y 7 de octubre de 2020 con motivo del huracán Delta en el estado de Yucatán se decretó el cese de las actividades esenciales. Esto significa que si bien no es un día de asueto no se debe trabajar, privilegiando con eso la integridad de los trabajadores. Es por esto que las empresas no pueden sancionar por no acudir ese día a laborar. Pero si podrían aplicar o realizar el descuento por el día no trabajado.
